Yeah, we hear the word “shape” and immediately jump to “control” and cringe a little, too. It implies spending energy on one.more.thing. It implies the potential for failure. It implies … ownership.
????We aren’t in charge of a lot of things – maybe there’s a break room at work nicknamed “The Snack Shack” (okay, that’s actually the name of one of our rooms at the gym). And we often hear break rooms are full of tempting treats that don’t align with your new goals. There’s a good chance your boss won’t cater in perfectly portioned macro-conscious meals, either. No such luck on controlling that one.

????You can adjust your macronutrients every other week and arrive at the ones to help you meet your goals. But if you don’t have an environment set up for success, that foundational deficiency will always lead to the upper-level skills (such as knowing and sticking to macronutrients) missing the mark.
