We have all been there. I don’t have the time to exercise; I don’t have time to meal prep, or make healthy dining choices. I am too busy, the kids have things, the house is dirty, we have to visit family, my friends are all going out this weekend, etc. The “I will start after this party, BBQ, or one last cheat meal” is a thought I have told myself time and time again. Then there is inevitably always one last thing to put off eating healthy for.
It so easy to make excuses as to why we can’t do something, I get it its often easier to come up with the excuse than to eat that salad instead of the quick fast-food burger. Its easier to make an excuse and drink a soda than to sip on a gallon of water all day. In the end though the excuses are not easier than feeling sluggish, gaining weight, and living in an unhealthy body.
So now is the time, there will always be an excuse. It’s time to start making excuses to why I can eat better and why I don’t have to miss a workout. Meal prepping started and lunches are prepped. Snacks are packed and healthy breakfast options are prepared. No matter how hard you work in the gym, you can’t out-exercise a diet of eating out.
We all have our struggles. Starting that chapter of your story starts now. Maybe you are couple months off track, maybe it’s a year or two. No matter how long it’s been, it’s never too late to start or restart.
Find yourself an accountability partner, come up with a plan, and stick with it. The best advice we can give anyone is to get started doing something that will result in a healthy lifestyle. Maybe that means cutting out the soda, juice, and diet drinks and increasing water consumption. Maybe it looks like bringing your lunch or cutting out the fried foods. Maybe it looks like doubling your vegetable intake with every meal. Whatever it is, make a step today to help you achieve your goals.
I took my biometrics last week to find out where I am. It’s time to track progress to ensure I’m achieving my goals. Now is the best time to start!
What are you going to do to achieve your health and fitness goals?
Make an excuse towards your health! 🙂
